Can I Get a Woot-Woot?

Operation "Fatten Owen Up" continues, but we've had a small victory. That's right - we have tasted success (and not much else) and it tastes good.

Weight Check Number 3 was this morning.
19 lbs 11 oz.

The pediatrician walked in and wasn't thrilled. She was hoping for 20 lbs. She said, "I have to chart it. If he's still off the chart or less than 3rd percentile, we have to start running tests."

Drumroll, please.
5th percentile.
That's right.
Way to go, Fatty.
You showed her.

After seeing that he barely slipped by truly went above and beyond on the chart, she was more relaxed about things. We're still playing with medications and trying different things, but at least we're headed in the right direction.

I am beyond happy! So glad they don't have to start shoving tubes down my baby's throat again to peek at his esophagus and larynx , etc.

So, here's to Owen and another 7 oz. gain in the next 6 weeks.

Seriously, can I get a Woot-Woot!

  1. Woot-woot!

Any victory, small or big, is a-ok. He is certainly living the life everyone would love....eat more, eat more, eat more. The rest of us watch each bite and Owen can keep up the eat more! We saw how much he did not want to bite into that yummy b.day cake in January.....keep up the creativity though! Woot-woot!
