So one day while perusing pinterest, it lied to me.
There was some great advice on there that said, if you need to paint a room, go ahead and paint big swatches of colors you're considering on the wall. This will a.) help you decide on the color, and b.) give you the motivation to get the painting done.
Well I definitely lack motivation at times, so I thought it was a great idea.
And I did it. In two separate places on the walls of our "office."
And it looked like a hideous camouflage of greens, browns, and blues.
And it worked - I definitely could tell that I liked the brown the best.
But apparently if you lack motivation, it doesn't matter if your walls are camouflaged or not; you still lack motivation. Kind of like you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Or is that about stubborness? Either way, we lived with our walls like that for an embarrassing amount of time.
Alas, some 9 or 10 months later........
I love it.
But major lesson learned here?
Pinterest is a liar and I will never trust it again.
