The Wilson Brothers

My sister and I like to call the boys The Wilson Brothers.
You know, because they're five weeks apart and have the same names as the actors.
And obviously because we hope they will also be hilariously funny while making gobs of money.

So here's Luke.
Or as I like to call him, Lukie Lamb.
He may hate me for it one day (like say when he's 200 lbs and graduating from college and I'm screaming "Way to go Lukie Lamb" from the stands, but for right now, he doesn't put up much of an argument.

Pop Quiz: One of the Wilson brothers is an awesome eater and loves spaghetti.
The other one is/does not. Based on this picture, can you guess which one is which?

Here's Owen, trying to learn the rules of the game from his cousin and uncle.
Look at that concentration. Truly, he is a jock in the making.

PS - I promise I did pack clothes for Owen.

We had a good trip. It was sad and fun and full of a stomach bug all at the same time. The boys got along pretty well for the most part. Although Owen is a bit smaller, we learned he's also a bit scrappy when defending his territory. His territory being a fake red cell phone. Pretty sure that "scrappyness" comes from being a third. (Again, sorry about him hitting you in the face, Lukie.)

Although Owen is the only one of my children who never got to meet my grandmother, he did take his first steps in her house. I thought that was pretty cool. He then got sick and hasn't walked since, but if his siblings have anything to do with it, he will be walking again soon. They are most upset that they missed the big moment and have tried to recreate it numerous times to no avail.

So that's pretty much it. We're back. We're catching up on rest and housework. The kids survived the 9 days with just their dad and had a pretty grand time as well. Who wouldn't have fun eating out as much as they did?

  1. I had never thought about the Wilson brothers. SO funny! I love that they had time together, not the reason though. I'm glad some laughter and fun was included at a sad time.....it brings the heart happiness. Totally cool Owen took steps in your grandmother's house. He's probably waiting for ME, so he can recreate if for Grandma Fish next! Yeah, that's it :D
